Global Energy Research

By Wally Barker   The uses for the research products we sell range from developing corporate strategy to supporting specific investment decisions.  We are not a political "think-tank" although I sometime think we could be.   That said, because I am an American and my country the largest energy consumer, I find it immensely sad that the majority of Americans fail to appreciate the seriousness of their predicament, let alone the reasons for their trouble.  It is my personal opinion is that that America's energy problems (and financial difficulties) will only get worse and worse and worse.  Although they might sound good, energy saving and alternative fuel initiatives are not sufficient.  The government must work with oil industry does something to address the core problem of supply.  I must be honest in that I do not pay that close attention to the foreign press coverage of the US political situation.  However, what I have heard is embarrasses me and does not give me faith that the current leadership or potential leaders are have any insight to address the problem, let alone solve it.

The work we have done in the energy field is extensive.  However, the section of the website is newly created and evolving.  Please excuse seemingly "stream of consciousness" format of this webpage but it's sole purpose is to give a brief exposure to some of our work

"2008 Energy Review"

Most of our energy research work is contract based.  However, we are going into our second year of publishing a research document with a broader based distribution.  Plans are for the first sections of the 2008 Global Energy Review to be available mid to late June and are based on the BP statistical data set through year end 2007 and all other relevant data through time of publishing.  The following are some interesting graphs from last year's "Global Energy Review".
